Porkab VI will be held from November 8–15, 2025, with six sub-districts hosting the sporting events: Pasar Kemis

Tangerang Regent, Moch. Maesyal Rasyid, officially launched the 6th Tangerang Regency Sports Week (Porkab) 2025, held at the Multipurpose Building (GSG) in Pasar Kemis District, Tangerang, on Saturday (September 13, 2025).
In his remarks, the Regent stated that sports are an important part of regional development, not only improving community health.
They also produce achievements that can bring honor to Tangerang Regency at the provincial, national, and international levels.
“A region will be seen as advanced not only by its educational, economic, social, and cultural achievements, but also by its success in developing athletes and sports.
Through sports, we can be healthy, foster relationships, and achieve success that brings honor to the region,” said Regent Maesyal Rasyid.
He also emphasized the importance of collaboration and synergy from all parties, from the local government, sub-districts, villages, and the community, in supporting the advancement of sports in Tangerang Regency.
According to him, the Porkab (Regional Sports Week) is a strategic opportunity to foster a spirit of sports and identify potential athletes.
“I ask the sub-district heads to seriously develop athletes in their respective areas.
Because through this Porkab, we can prepare the best athletes for the 2026 Banten Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) in South Tangerang City,” he added.
Meanwhile, Taufik Emil, the Chief Executive of the 2025 Porkab VI Tangerang Regency, explained that all sub-districts in Tangerang Regency have registered to participate.
Porkab VI will be held from November 8–15, 2025, with six sub-districts hosting the sporting events: Pasar Kemis, Rajeg, Kemiri, Jambe, Panongan, and Sindang Jaya.
Furthermore, Emil emphasized that the 6th Porkab (Regional Sports Week) is not just a competition, but also part of the athlete development and selection process for the 2026 Banten Porprov.
“We hope that through this 6th Porkab, we can produce high-achieving athletes who are ready to bring honor to Tangerang Regency,” said Emil.
He also encouraged all participants to maintain the spirit of togetherness, sportsmanship, and brotherhood.
“Let’s make this Porkab a momentum to strengthen the unity of the Tangerang Regency community,” he said.
