Tangerang Regent Moch Maesyal Rasyid opened the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Workshop at the Yasmin Hotel in Binong Village, Curug District, on Wednesday (September 3, 2025).
The Tangerang Regent emphasized that development must align with the five-year Strategic Development Plan (Rensrapem).
The event, attended by Deputy Regent Intan Nurul Hikmah, carried the theme “Weaving Local Actions Towards Global Goals.” The event also included health checks and an exhibition of MSME products.
In his remarks, Regent Maesyal Rasyid stated that sustainable development, or the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), is a global agenda that is universal and inclusive.
Development must be felt by all groups in society, including men and women, children, adolescents, adults, people with disabilities, and vulnerable and poor communities without exception.
“The SDGs workshop we will be holding is comprehensive because we have also created flagship programs that encompass other sectors, and we must implement them comprehensively.
These include education, health, economics, and infrastructure, including efforts to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of government administration and the environment,” explained Regent Maesyal Rasyid.
According to him, the established 2025-2029 Tangerang Regency Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) will serve as a guide for the regional government in carrying out its sustainable development tasks.
“Hopefully, with this activity, we will achieve the best results for sustainable development programs in Tangerang Regency.
Especially regarding the flagship programs, vision, and mission, as well as the Tangerang Regency RPJMD for the next five years,” he said.
He requested support from all parties, including the community, institutions, and academics, to synergize and actively collaborate in development and community empowerment.
