Tangerang, internasionalpos.com.

The principal of SDN SERDANG WETAN, Legok District, Tangerang Regency, Iwan, is strongly suspected of running a student worksheet (LKS) business, a matter that appears to violate applicable rules and regulations.

The Head of the Tangerang Regency Education Office (Disdik), will attempt to summon the principal regarding extortion.

This is a statement made by the Head of the Tangerang Regency Education Office (Kadisdik), Dadan Gandana, a few days ago.

He emphasized to reporters that the practice of buying and selling student worksheets (LKS) within the school environment violates regulations.

“Yes, schools are strictly prohibited from buying and selling LKS because it violates applicable regulations,” said Dadan Gandana, Head of the Disdik.

According to him, this affirmation was made by Dadan Gandana in response to reports of forced LKS sales in Tangerang Regency.

Dadan stated that his office was unaware of any such actions. “I don’t know about those individuals.

“What’s certain is that I trust the principals. They will know the rules. And they cannot be forced into something prohibited,” he said.

He further explained that the ban on the sale and purchase of worksheets applies to all educators, educational staff, and even school committees.

“The goal is to prevent the commercialization of education and burden students and parents with additional costs,” he explained.

The legal basis for the ban on the sale and purchase of worksheets is Government Regulation No. 17 of 2010 (Article 181a): Prohibiting educators, educational staff, both individually and collectively, from selling textbooks, worksheets, teaching materials, teaching supplies, and school uniforms.

Furthermore, Minister of Education and Culture Regulation No. 75 of 2020 (Article 12a): Prohibiting School Committees from selling textbooks or school uniforms.

He requested that schools be reported to the Education and Culture Office if any schools sell worksheets.

“Parents or the community can report such practices directly to the education office for follow-up,” he urged.

If any schools force students to buy worksheets, he urged them to inquire whether there is any An official letter from the education office permitting it.

“If there isn’t one, just ignore it,” he stressed.

He urged schools to find other alternatives to meet learning needs.

“For government-subsidized student textbooks, students can use free textbooks or copy worksheet questions outside of school,” he concluded.
