Tangerang Regency Regional Secretary Soma Atmaja welcomed the peaceful resolution.

According to him, deliberation and tabayun are the best ways to maintain harmony.

“We greatly appreciate the goodwill of both parties who were finally able to sit down together and resolve this issue with a cool head.

Deliberation and consensus are the most elegant ways to resolve differences.

This incident should serve as a lesson for all of us to be wiser in our attitudes, maintain ethics, and respect each other’s roles,” said Soma.

He also emphasized the importance of synergy between local governments and the press.

“The government needs the media as a strategic partner in conveying development information.

Conversely, the media also needs government transparency. This collaboration is what we must continue to foster together,” he added.

The Chairperson of the Tangerang Regency PWI, Sri Mulyo, emphasized that a harmonious relationship between journalists and government officials is key to maintaining the stability of public information.

“PWI strongly supports the creation of a healthy relationship between journalists and government officials.

This incident has been resolved amicably, and we hope that similar misunderstandings will not occur again in the future,” he said.

Furthermore, Sri Mulyo emphasized the importance of journalist professionalism and government transparency.

“Journalists have a responsibility to provide accurate, educational, and enlightening information to the public. The government must also be responsive to the public’s need for information.

Let’s make this moment a milestone in strengthening collaboration, not only in reporting, but also in building a healthy democratic climate in Tangerang Regency,” he emphasized.

The meeting marked the end of a dispute between ANF, a journalist and member of the Tangerang Regency PWI (Indonesian Journalists Association), and D, a civil servant at the Tangerang Regency DPRD Secretariat.
